Dr. Max Meyer

GP/ Urban Health Acute Care Unit

Program(s): Urban Health Acute Care Unit

Dr. Max Meyer is a Clinical Associate at the 10-C AIDS Ward, a collaboration between the BC-CfE and Providence Health Care.

Dr. Meyer is a family physician with interest in HIV community medicine and in-hospital care of those living with opportunistic infections. He enjoys being one of the 10-C physicians managing the complex and challenging HIV positive patients requiring admission to St. Paul's Hospital. Here, he has been able to observe the successes of ARV treatment in the community that is keeping more positive patients out of hospital.

Dr. Meyer has previously worked overseas in Zambia, UAE, Indonesia and South Africa, and is currently the Chair of Camp Moomba and the Western Canada Pediatric AIDS Society.
